From May 8 to May 15, 2026, the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, Fr. Tomaž Mavrič CM, visited the Vincentian Family in Russia, bringing encouragement, unity, and renewed spiritual fervor to the communities he encountered.

A significant highlight of the visit took place on May 14, 2026, in the city of Omsk, Siberia, where the Daughters of Charity are actively serving the local community. The city is also home to two active groups of the Association of the Miraculous Medal (AMM), which continue to foster devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, service, and communal faith life.

Following the celebration of Holy Mass, Fr. Mavrič met with members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal for a time of sharing and reflection. During the gathering, participants testified to their personal experiences of prayer, spiritual protection, and the many graces received through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The atmosphere was marked by gratitude, faith, and deep Marian devotion.

The Superior General acknowledged and encouraged the faithful presence of the Association in Russia, noticing that there are currently eight AMM groups in the country. These communities actively promote the Miraculous Medal and the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, strengthening the faith of many believers across the region.

Fr. Tomaž also offered a heartfelt encouragement to the faithful, inviting them to remain steadfast in prayer and to continually ask for God’s graces through Mary’s intercession. He recalled the well-known Marian expression often associated with the Miraculous Medal devotion: “The rays that do not shine are graces that are not asked for,” emphasizing the importance of trusting in God and persevering in prayer.

The meeting concluded as a moment of profound encouragement, strengthening unity among the faithful and renewing hope in God’s providence. The encounter served as a reminder of the living presence of Marian devotion within the Vincentian Family and its continued growth even in distant regions such as Siberia.

O Mary Conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
