March 2025 – Santiago, Veraguas
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, the Association of the Miraculous Medal (AMM) in Panamá held its National Assembly at the auditorium of Colegio San Vicente de Paúl in Santiago, Veraguas. This was the first national gathering since the previous assembly held in July 2019 in Boquete, Chiriquí.

The highlight of the assembly was the election of a new National Council. The newly elected members are:
• President: Lizeth Caballero (David)
• Secretary: Alexandra Romero (Solano)
• Treasurer: Edisa Mendoza (David)
• Formation Coordinator: Jorge Villarreal (Solano)
• Pastoral Coordinator: Eric Cedeño (Solano)

Newly elected National Council
Fr. John Carney, CM, the National Director, presided over the Holy Mass and facilitated the event alongside three Daughters of Charity serving as advisors: Sr. Estefanía, Sr. Cecilia, and Sr. Grace.

Reflections from the assembly revealed a deep love for the AMM among the members. However, a stronger sense of unity and clearer understanding of procedural guidelines are needed. While the event reflected strong commitment, some challenges in organization and communication were noted. As part of the assembly, participants received copies of the newsletter El Mensaje (Fall 2024 edition), generously donated by the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia.

This assembly marked an important step forward in revitalizing the AMM in Panamá. With renewed leadership and a shared mission, there is hope for greater cohesion and continued growth across the country.
